The Cautious Girl and the Three Bears

Once upon a screen-lit day, a curious girl went online to play.

She found a cozy website bright, with colors soft and fonts just right.

“This feels like home,” she softly said, and clicked a link the page then led.

But soon the page began to act in ways that felt a little cracked —

Pop-ups danced and banners flashed, and tiny icons quickly crashed.

Her tummy twitched; she frowned a bit — something about this didn’t fit.

Three friendly bears, from nearby town, peeked at the screen with worried frown.

“We each protect the sites we make —

One makes them quick, one makes them bright, one keeps them safe through day and night.”

The first small bear said with a grin, “My site is fast — jump right on in!”

But speed alone can hide a crack; a missing patch lets trouble back.

The second bear showed sparkly art, with pictures bold and fancy charts.

“It looks so pretty!” the girl exclaimed — but pretty pages aren’t the same

As careful locks and secret codes that guard the site like sturdy roads.

The biggest bear then cleared his throat, and kindly gave the best tip note:

“We use strong locks, and updates too, and two-step proof — that’s what to do.

We check the links before we click, and close the tabs that feel too quick.

We never share a password free — keep personal info guarded, see?”

The girl then breathed and smiled so wide; she closed the flashy site she’d tried.

She picked the place with locks and care, the cozy site that truly shared

Clear rules and grown-up help nearby — a safe place where she could try

To learn and play and send a note that wouldn’t vanish, break, or float.

What the Girl Learned

Look before you click a link — if it looks odd, stop and think.

Choose sites with locks (HTTPS) and signs that show they care for you.

Ask an adult if something’s strange, and never let a stranger change

Your secrets, passwords, or your name — keep them private, that’s the game.

Quick Safety Tips

  • Check for the padlock icon in the address bar.
  • Ask a grown-up before downloading or clicking unfamiliar links.
  • Use strong passwords and keep them secret.
  • Update apps and games so they have the latest protections.
