Once upon a time, there was a brother and sister named Hansel and Gretel who loved to play video games. One day, they were playing their favorite game, a huge online world full of adventure. They were low on gold coins and wanted to buy a new magic sword and a super-powered shield.
Suddenly, a message popped up on their screens:
"FREE UNLIMITED COINS! FOLLOW THE TRAIL TO FIND YOUR FORTUNE!"
Hansel and Gretel were so excited. They saw a trail of shiny gold coins appear in the game. "This is our chance!" Hansel shouted. "We'll be rich!"
They followed the glittering trail, deeper and deeper into a dark and spooky part of the game. The trail of coins led them to a beautiful but strange house, made entirely of candy. The door swung open and a sweet-looking old lady smiled at them from inside. She was a super rare character, the "Candy Witch."
"Welcome, my dears," she said in a sugary voice. "Come in, come in! I have a wonderful deal for you. Just give me your account password, and I'll fill your inventory with all the coins you could ever want!"
Hansel and Gretel paused. They remembered their parents telling them something very important:
"Never, ever give your account information to anyone, no matter what they promise."
Gretel looked at the old lady, and then at Hansel. "Something doesn't feel right," she whispered. "This is too good to be true."
Hansel nodded, his excitement fading. "My password is a secret," he said to the Candy Witch. "I can't give it to you."
The old lady's smile dropped. Her sweet face turned into a sour scowl. "You foolish children!" she screamed. "You've ruined my trap!"
With a flash of light, the candy house disappeared, and so did the witch. They were left alone in an empty, boring part of the game, with no coins and no candy. They had almost fallen for a scammer.
Hansel and Gretel quickly went back to the main part of the game. They learned a valuable lesson that day: Real friends and real deals don't ask for your secrets. Always keep your passwords and personal information safe, even when the promise of free stuff is tempting.
